Hello,

I really need your opinion on this one This is the first time I try focus blending. I used for sure Helicon Focus to do the job. The photo consists of five images blended for focus and then blended the sky for exposure. I stat taking this photo 40 min before the sunset until almost the sunset time. It was cloudy that day and I didn't expect such a sunset but Marc saw it coming and it really did happen :jump: . Any way, I used 5D Mark II and 17-40

Abdullah, It sound lots of work on the field and lots of work of processing. But it paid off. It is a great composed with sharp FG and BG and interesting too. Nice color of sunset for final compliment.

Focus blending stuff like this is really tough.. particularly if you are critical at large print sizes. I see some ghosting around one of the top left flowers, and some softness around the right hand flower. It's possible you'll have to go in by hand to and fix that. I love the contrasts of the blue, greens, and yellows. I do think the yellows come across as over saturated.

Thanks Mohammed.

Floris: You are absolutely right and I spent hours trying to fix it but without success. Also, I think I made some mistakes in the field but I don't know what exactly. I though of re-prcess it but before that, I would love to hear all comments and critiques so I start with the right foot.

Nicely thought out image Abdullah. I do find the image a little oversaturated for my taste. I'll have to try some of this image blending stuff.

Abdullah, I like the image, but as others have noticed, it is a little oversaturated.

Great image Abdullah, and well worth some extra time to address the issues others have mentioned.

Excellent job with the focus blending and the exposure. I really like the composition as well. I agree with Floris that you could tone down the vibrancy of the yellows and that would balance the image a bit better. That's a minor point though. Very well done!

I notice the issues with the blend as well. I couldn't begin to attempt a blend myself though. So I can't offer any critique or suggestion as to how to improve it. I like the comp, and the nice sunset. The colors are a little nuclear, imo.

The comp and processing really grab me. Yes, maybe it's a bit overdone, but WOW, what an image.

This is a well composed and executed shot but over saturated.

This has a ton of potential, but the processing seems off. The blue in the sky is over saturated, as are the yellow flowers. The left grass is too dark, and the right hill is too light. I really dig this comp though...

Well, you really have done an excellent job here
it is obviously awesome

A very nice comp, Abdullah. The focus blending looks good to me - all looks very sharp. Colors are a bit vibrant, and the plants in the fg do seem a bit bright, but I'm enjoying this shot very much.

Thank you all for the valuable comments. It's the first time for me to do focus blending and yet I am still learning my way through photoshop. I will try to re-process the entire image as soon as I get some time because this type of editing is time consuming.

It is time consuming! I'll echo the above, the comp and scene are spectacular but the color could be fine-tuned.
