Wow! What a corker of a shot Sandy! Really looks like you were in the right place at just the right time, and you really made the most of it, absolutely marvelous angle of view for this display of full spread wings and tail feathers :^)

I'd be tempted to brighten up the eye a bit more, other than that, it's picture perfect for me :^)

Beautiful!
I've been spending a few hours each day for the past week (weather permitting) hoping to get a shot of one of these birds with prey like this - no luck.
This is great - the BG is so much better than empty sky, too. The colors are even complementary. :toast:

Very nicely done !
The down side pose & rocky BG adds to it.

Really nice. I really like the complete bottom side view with the prey. Nice. The comp feels a bit centered. Do you have just a bit more room on the right?

Hey, that's great Sandy! I knew that if I left they would come around. I like the underside view here too. It's not so easy to keep focus on these birds with this background so close, but you pulled it off. :toast:

Absolutely outstanding image, Sandy. Hand held even at 1/1000 this is a magnificient achievement. If this was one image of sequential shooting there were likely other nice images but not so perfect. :jump:

BTW, Sandy... this is one of the juveniles. The adult female has a yellow face and she should be around too. :wavey:

Nice action shot. I agree about more space on the right if you've got it.

What Charlie said about getting the AF right under such conditions is correct - you pulled it off! Great shot!
