Lily Pad Sunset

On the pond behind our home in New Hampshire.... The light and reflected color caught my eye. The orange is the reflected light of sunset.

Thanks for looking and for any comments and critiques.

Canon 5DM2
Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L II at 200mm
ISO100 10sec f/32 (used a depth of field calculator on my iPhone to determine f/stop to get at least 2 feet in focus).
SR Warming Polarizer slightly used to reduce glare
RAW processing in LR3 and TK's Darks Triple Play in CS5

Interested in your thoughts on this one.

Love the balance of the elements in the composition Eva as well as the quality of the light. Well seen and very well presented. It's a beautiful image for my tastes.

This is very nice.the little puddles of water on the lilypads are riveting. The colors in the water and the foreground grasses really tie it all together. I'd love to have this one on my wall where I could look at it long and often. A stunning image,

Great composition, lighting, and coloring, Eva. IMO, looks over-sharpened but I'm sure that's simply personal preference.

Nice job with the light reflections....

Cheers,

Carol

This is very beautiful, Eva !! The admixture of shapes and lines and colours seems almost surreal in this lighting - you've created a strong mood which endows this pond with an extraordinary feeling of life.

Eva: I may try to get up your way a little early if this kind of scene beckons. Good call on using the polarizer especially. I like this very much as is and also like it with the upper pads cropped away to bring out the orange in the reflection even more. Well seen and superbly captured.>=))>
