... there is its spring.
Pissieu river, in Bauges Mountains, France.

This picture is composed with a 3-images-blending process (Enfuse on Lightroom 3).

Canon 7D + Sigma 10-20 mm, f/10, ISO 400 @ 11mm.

C&C welcome of course, that's the aim!

Powerful flow... nice image, rich in texture and color.

Could go for a contrast boost David, but an otherwise interesting photograph.

I'm not sure here, David. I like the greens and the feel of the place. I find the water too be a bit too empty and lacking texture though.

Thank you Alister. The recent strong rains we had here brought a lot of water.

Thank you Nicolaus for your advice, I tried a bit more contrast, and it went well.

Thank you Andreas. I know that this smooth texture of water could be differently appreciated. I personally really love very long exposure to obtain this smooth texture. But I also easily understand that could be too long here. I have to give it another try, but I wait for lower water.

Anyway thank to all of you for your critics.

I agree with Andreas here. I do like the greens and the place....but I don't like the comp that much.

Interesting how it seems as if the water is coming up out of the ground here. Perhaps it is, due to the title! I think a contrast boost would help.

Thank you Bill. I am considering going back there when there will be lower water, to go on the other bank, and in the middle of the stream, where composition seemed to me more interesting.

Thank you also Alex. And yes it is! You can see the whole spring of this stream. This mountain is karstic. The water here is actually coming up out of the rocks you can see, it's not coming out of the cave.
