Life on the Crack

I've had an image like this in mind for awhile.....a wildflower with moving water as a bg. Not sure if this works but I found this guy in a small, rocky canyon in Central Washington a few days ago. Plant Id? Maybe some kind of Balsamroot?
Thanks for looking.

Bruce: Great scene and I think you have the ID correct. I like this a touch better cropped to 4:5 from the bottom. Nice find and a fine capture. >=))>

Very nice Bruce. I like the contrast of the stationary flower and the moving water. The crop would work, but I like it as is.

Very ethereal Bruce. I like the smoky water in the background and clarity in the foreground.

I like this one, Bruce. I might be tempted to crop from the top to eliminate the goldedn highlights on the rock. Additionally, I might crop from the bottom to put more emphasis on the flowers. The color is nice, and I like the water.

Nice job!

Nice concept. I would crop some of the rock from the bottom.

I like the concept of the very static rocks, the somewhat static flower, and the totally unstatic water combined in one frame. You've to it all. Could see maybe cropping the background rock off the and some gray rock off the bottom to make it a less busy composition with a strong rule of thirds element in the flower.

Excellent rendition of this shot. I like your comp, and I like Bill's crop suggestion. (He does know flowers. ) It brings more prominence to the flower. Well, I just read the other comments, and it seems like most agree. This will make a very nice large print!
