nice pose, especially knowing that it was raining. The head/bill appear a bit soft, and could use a little more sharpening.

I like the wing-as-umbrella pose and the excellent exposure of the whites. I agree with the suggestion for a little more room on the left, if you have it.

Lucy, I too like the pose of the egret and the whites against the green foliage. Maybe just a bit more sharpening.
