Fire in the Sky

These cliffs are along the North Absaroka Wilderness in Wyoming. Years ago a fire blew through here so hot that it sterilized the soil. Capturing this image a few weeks ago a small fire to the west blew ash into the sky. As the sun was going down it moved into its path bringing about some nice warm light, casting a glow on the land. Mixed soft clouds also caught the sun's retreat.
