Graveyard Fields on the Blue Ridge Parkway at 5:30 am - about a 7/8th full moon giving the ambient light. This is a two shot blend - the entire scene without the auto lights, and the auto lights blended in during a longer exposure & lower ISO, so I got the full light trail. The wind was howling so some of the vegetation is not as clear as I would like. This was taken Oct. 15, after the color in this area had peaked - but the rust color of the leaves remaining gave an interesting tone. The glow & lights in the distance are from Brevard & southern Asheville. I toned them down without losing too many of them.
Please see a larger version for more detail.

Canon 5D2, 16-35mm @16mm
Scene shot: ISO 800, 30 sec., f4
Auto lights: ISO 500, 36 sec., f5.6

I like the leading line and the colors, especially in the sky. Nice Image.

Very Cool! I like the curve and lights in the bg, but my favorite thing is the sky.

First off, I light the streaks of the headlights. The light on the landscape is also nice and the starry sky is icing on the cake. Wonderful capture Wick!
