This was a downed log I found on a hike in Mt Hood National Forest. The lines, textures and color was all very interesting to me. I worked this little section of log for about 20 minutes trying to get a composition that looked best. In the end I think this is it.

Thanks in advance for all feedback.

Very nice Adrian! You captured wonderful lines, well worth the effort seeking them out, and the greens are perfect accents.

I could shoot stuff like this all day Adrian! Great lines, texture and just enough color to break this up a bit.

Superb image Adrian. The diagonal flow with the interspersed green is very engaging. You did very well.

Really nicely seen and captured.....the lines, shapes and pattern of green on brown work really well together in this comp....I like the line of flow from upper left to lower right and the more subtle ridge cutting across that.

This is really nice Adrian, love the diagonal flow. I can see why this caught your eye with all the differing lines and shapes. The colours marry up beautifully.

Gary.

Reminds me of what Guy Tal has posted some days ago. But I am not suggesting that this is a rip off of his idea. This looks very different -and works great for me. Love that suggest "flow" from top left to bottom right.

The added green color makes this for me, as it's just one more contrast to accentuate the texture and lines. Excellent comp using the diagonals, too. It all adds up to a superb abstract.

Oh, this is gorgeous! A great find, and a beautiful capture. Terrific details and color. I might crop a wee bit off the right side to reduce the blank area (without green) there. Wonderful photography.

Great job of seeing and bringing out the textures in the log. This is really nice as posted. I like the "circle" of green mossy patches on the left and wonder if you have a shot with a slight ccw tilt and left shift that emphasizes that circle.

This is dope Adrian. Best of seen from you in a while. The colors are so rich and organic. I liked your last blog post too from Opal Creek. Good stuff!

Superb abstract, Adrian, almost like a painting. The color combo here is particularly striking.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment. All feedback is always appreciated.

Dietrich, I did see Guy's post not too long ago which is fine one indeed. Not that it matters to me but I actually photographed this before I saw that post, and as you stated it's a much different image. I always look for this type of image when I am in the forest but until I came across this scene it had not worked for me. Thank you.
