Tri Colored Heron

This photo was taken at the Savannah Wildlife refuge. I like the shot because of the greenery in the background. To me it makes the heron stand out more. But is it to busy? Photo was cropped by 25%, a little noise removal. All c's & c's are welcomed. All of your comments are helping me grow as a photographer!

Colors look nice -- I like the green water -- the background looks good to me excpet for the heavy stalk across the Heron's face.

It is a pleasing image Carlette. I like the posture of the heron and the nice full body profile view. A less patterned background behind the bird's head would improve the photo I think, but it doesn't really feel "busy". Good work on the exposure. :toast:

Nice comp. I feel the busy BG competes with the bird.

Good capture. A bit busy for my taste, but it's definitely the right habitat.

Nice shot Carlette. I like the comp and the bird looks sharp. The BG shows nice habitat, but does compete a bit too much for my taste.
