Mmm... lovely. The violet cap really pops nicely.

Love that mist and alpenglow Ken! I think a slight crop from the top and right side might be worth trying. Great detail in the large version!

Gorgeous glow and mist. Nice mood with the mist. This definitely needs to be viewed large.

This is truly delightful! I love the wonderful colors and the amazing scene you captured. Personally, I'd crop a bit off the bottom so that there wasn't any ground showing (it pulls my eye away from the mtn) and I'd also crop a bit more off of the top so that it stays balanced. It really is a stunning image Ken!

Ken, the colors on the snow-capped peak are awesome! I also like the foreground placement of the trees. Beautiful work! :toast:

Great shot Ken. Was this captured south of the road at Chinook Pass? I agree the crop from the top and right might be worth a try.

Thanks for the comments...this was shot from the Naches Peak Loop trail whose trailhead is at Chinook Pass. My fav day-hike trail for sunrise views of Mt Rainier.

Ken,

Beautiful Rainier landscape. The landscape composition is excellent with good balance between sky and forest, and of course the mountain and scattered fog.

Two minor thoughts. The saturation is a little strong for my taste, but not by too much. The other suggestion would be a slight darkening of the shadows in the trees. As presented the trees almost don't match the time of day - if that makes sense.

Minor tweaks and you can make a great image in to a fabulous one.

Don't know how I missed this one first time around Ken. The light on the peak is really great. Nice shot. :toast:
