Snow covered trees under Matterhorn was the small part of the fantastic view from the apartment we stayed in Zermatt. One morning, sun was keeping them warm then I stepped out into the balcony and captured this.

40D, 70-200mm, Tripod

All C&C's appreciated.

I think this is a lot nicer than the thumbnail leads one to believe. It has a painterly softness that goes well with the warm tones. I don't care for the tiny bit of railing in the llc, though.

Mohammad,

Pretty rough having to step out on the to balcony eh? What a great sight to have though and I can certainly see why you would want to capture this. I couldn't quite figure out the LLC until I read Nancy Lea's comments. You might consider cloning/cropping that out as it does take away a little from the "natural" look.

I like the scene, but am a little torn about some of the brighter, empty areas up top and on the right. It's like I either want to see a broader view or have those areas cropped out. But I'm not sure cropping is the answer, but I do feel there is a better comp in there; just can't put my finger on it. Maybe someone else can make a suggestion.

Thanks for posting!

Interesting take Mohammad. The flatness makes it almost an abstract, and a crop of the central section might emphasize that.
