This is interesting. Are those leaves frozen into the ice? The textures and patterns are really nice. On a personal note, a little more contrast would make me grin but it's great the way it is

Todd, this is a great find. I love the monochrome color and the leaf detail. The image looks a pinch soft, but that may be a sharpening or web issue.

Oh sorry nancy, yes it is leaves caught in ice. And I forgot to mention I used Nik software and lightroom to get this affect. Thanks for looking.

A very interesting shot indeed- Like very much the blueish palette and the contrast between the leaves (one seems the negative of the other)- Very well done, Fabio

Now that's a really interresting combination -- the textures of the leaves next to the ice texture. The details of both seem to be enhanced even more by a great processing job. Really nice "Yin/Yang" composition.

Very cool design Todd. I think your slow ss may have prevented the super sharp details that would have made this image really pop IMHO. I like the b&w tones

Very interesting composition and nice processing, I like the blue monochrome and the detail you extracted in the leaves and the ice.

Thanks for the comments everybody. Scott and Cheryl, Not really sure what is going on with the sharpness. It has to be the processing. I've had this problem with sharpness before. I think its the Dfine 2.0 from Nik software. The reason I say this is because I did everything I could to get a sharp image. I bought a new carbon gitzo tripod, used mirror lock up and a cable release. Not sure what the problem is but I have noticed that when I use the Dfine it seems to mud up the colors. Guess I will try not to use the Dfine and see if that helps.
