Standing

I just finished culling and processing about 1100 photos from a New Zealand/Australia/Fiji trip, and thought I'd start posting some.

This is a 4-shot pano of the Three Sisters rock formation in the Blue Mountains outside of Sydney, Australia. I took it from the usual tourist overlook, although at this time in the evening there was hardly anyone around after the tour bus crowds earlier. They missed the best view in this light! Anyway, the name is part of an aboriginal legend.

Thanks for looking!

I love scenes like this that reach into great distances. The light on the rock formations is very nice and complimented by the cool blues of the far hills. Nice image

I love this view and comp even though it's from the tourist platform. Beautiful shot.

Well composed with good lighting. The sky is complementary.

Lovely vista! I like the play of the shadow and light on the landscape, it adds some nice depth.
Were you able to stay for the true "golden hour"??

Thanks Morkel! No we weren't. We had a couple of mile walk back to town to catch a train... Plus, some additional cloud cover was rolling in (the sisters were in shadow about 20 minutes after this) so I'm telling myself it wouldn't have been very good.

I love the depth that you've captured. That looks like a great valley to explore and the three sisters make a great entry for the eyes.

Comp and light look very good. It feels very natural compared to some of the images we make nowadays.
