Hi everyone,

Havent posted anything in a long time here, mostly because I haven't done any shooting in a long time. Finally got to go out and do some shooting in Sedona with Doug Kopesel and Micheal Greene. It was an awesome day for shooting. The only problem was I forgot my snow shoes and was walking around in snow with regular sneakers and my feet was frozen the entire day. Other than that it was fun shooting with Micheal and Doug. Sunset was even cooler as 3 other NPN'ers showed up.

Anyways here's one I liked of Cathedral Rock from the Crescent moon area.

Canon 5D II w/ 24-105mm
f/22
113 secs
ISO 100

Thanks for looking!

Excellent shot, and B&W works very well here. Although I like it quite a bit as posted, if you can do it without introducing noise, I might dodge the water just slightly to give it a bit more prominence in the scene.

This is excellent! Very surreal. Love the B+W rendering too.

This is excellent. Love the light on the distant mountain. I would try to doddge the water just a bit.Black & white works really well.

Like the contrast between the flowing sky and strong centered rock formation. Nice B&W tones.

I love the great tonal range and cloud movement here...
I agree with Aaron on the comp. I think it might be the stark contrast in ligthing?

Hey Chikku, it was good meeting you for a second or two out there. Pretty cool shot you got here - nice movement in the clouds and the b&w works pretty well here. Amazing how diferent this is from anything I got!

A really pleasing image, I do agree about trying to dodge the water a touch to make it bit more prominent.

Beautiful image. Love everything about it, especially that it's in B&W.

Great work Chikku. I like this version better than the vertical in the RMNP forum. The graphic nature of the shot is striking. I'd like to see a color version too.
