Snowshoeing in the area of Les Pres d'Orvin/Switzerland (Jura Mountains). While scouting the area last fall I found this place and I knew back then I will come back in winter to photograph these trees.

Techs:Nikon D700, AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm f/4G ED VR @ 32mm, Iso:200, 20sec,f13, Big Stopper (10stop ND Filter Lee)

The soft colors and subtle cloud movement really make this sing. The stark silhouettes of the trees are the perfect foil to the expanses of snow and sky. Nice

Nice simple isolation of the trees - almost seems as if they're communicating.

The starkness of the landscape combined with the beautiful sky makes this a very compelling image.

I think this is great with maybe even more potential. I'd be tempted to bring out just a little more pink to the wonderful minimalistic scene. :toast:

Simple and Powerful! The life in the cloud movement contrasts the barren trees quite nicely, really well done!

Bill, I love the expansive sky and snow texture in the large version. Beautiful pastel colors as well.

Feels more like a duet than a symphony, but hey, who's counting. These two trees do make a nice harmony. Nice score.
