I think next to red squirrels, fox squirrels can be the sassy's member of this wide spread family. I throughly enjoy photographing these guys.

Wonderful color and detail in this squirrel. The squirrel looks like it could just jump right off the screen.

They are fun little guys...pretty rare here in South Florida. Since the sky is already blown, I may raise exposure a bit more and add a touch of contrast to the squirrel. If it is within your ethics, I would clone out the stray sticks in the background.

Cute and sassy little guy, John. Looks like he has tiger stripes on the front legs. Everywhere I go, it seems I need about a 1500mm lens to get any kind of a shot. They can be so brave one minute and shy the next. Nice capture and attitude image. I think I'd like just a tiny bit more at the bottom to show the limb actually attaching to the trunk of the tree or perhaps getting rid of the trunk.

Looks like you surprised him John! Personally I am not a fan of such blown out skies/BG's, but the situation probably left you with little choice if you wanted to get any detail in the subject. And the detail is superb! Alternatively you could have used fill flash to even out the exposure; not ideal, but it then becomes a question of what you prefer.
