Very artistic rendition there, Sally  - nice play with the depth of field. I would prefer a simpler border though.

Really like the foreground group of flowers. I would prefer a different background color to help make the foreground group of flowers stand out. Also, another possible shooting angle would be to set the foreground group by themselves.

Excellent blossom arrangement. Very good POV/DOF. I like the slightly blured BG. Well done Sally.

Sally,

Very good color in this image. I would suggest trying a horizontal crop, for me the BG conflicts too much with the main subject, a horizontal crop would reduce the BG. Try it and see if you like it. Thanks for sharing.

The composition works well for me and you captured these blossoms/buds at an ideal stage of development. I do find that the brighter area in the center of the frame draws my eye, particularly since it is brighter than the main subject. It might be possible in PS, if you want to experiment, to "rearrange" the lighting here to emphasize the subject.

Very impressive image, Sally. Gentle yet vibrant; pastel but robust. Love the mood and the story of Spring in it. Just beautiful!

I like this a lot. Especially interesting is the way the pink tinged buds contrast with the cool hues of the background.

Thank you everyone for your feedback on this image. John , I did try cropping to just the large cluster, but really ended up liking the way the oof branch leads to it. So I have gone back in and worked to darken the light background hopefully giving more empasis to the main cluster. Again,, I really appreciate your feedback...... a photographer friend of mine is helping me learn layers and masking.... he is very patient!

Perfect timing on capturing the mix of blooms and buds. Your rework really lets the foreground cluster shine.

Hi Sally :wavey: The repost works much better, Generally the BG should not compete with the main subject, i would have tried F/ 4.5 for a softer BG . The color and detail on the FG blooms are perfect to show off these beautiful blooms
