Bretagne, France

Must have been a while since I put anything on ESS. I've been trying something different lately location-wise : Brittany.

Here's a morning shot of the rugged sea cliffs you see around this region.

Hmmmm, 100 views and not a comment??? I'll break the silence! I think this is deceptively gorgeous! The sky is wonderful imo, and the colorful ground cover up front is beutiful as well. An excellent image that I can tell I would have been in a very "good" place at the time of capturing it. If I were fortunate enough to have been there there, of course.

A great looking scene, Kah kit. A beautiful rugged shoreline with wonderful color. I like the splashes of yellow and as Chris mentioned the sky looks great. The blues work so well with the yellow and greens... and it all looks so natural. Feels like I'm there...wish I was.

Beautifully composed. I like the sweep of the flowers leading out to the ocean and the clouds.

Just about feel like I am standing there admiring the scene. I guess that's what I like about this image. The comp, colors, processing are all great, but it really puts you at the location, and just about gives you an experience. Very nice. Also, the whole view isn't busy, although there's a lot going on, like a great sky, ocean with lots of detail, rugged cliffs, then finally the foreground dressed with the colorful flowers. It is all separated enough to make it enjoyable to view! TFS...

I really like this one, KK--those flowers are a perfect compliment to the rugged seaside! :toast:

Looks like a cool place. I do wish there was some more separation between the foreground layer and the midground rocks though - most of the layers are merging now, which results in this image having less depth than most of your other images. Hope that makes sense.

BTW - I tried to visit your blog yesterday, and I tried again just now, but I get the following message:

Same thing happens with your website. I must add that I'm in Johannesburg now, so maybe your work is blocked in SA.

Great balance in the composition and the foreground with the yellow flowers is very intriguing. The clouds add the little extra excitement in the upper half. Overall an excellent shot, Kah.

Very nice colors and textures. This feels familiar for some reason.

Hello Kah Kit - yeah, must have been a while.... no longer called ESS! Glad you decided to stop by anyway.

What a wonderful seascape/landscape. Great color, comp and as other's mentioned, the sky is wonderful too. Even though less than a third of the frame is sky, I like the balance/proportion which makes the sky a beautiful added element to the scene, but doesn't dominate. Nicely done.

Looks like some beautiful coastal scenery Kah Kit. I like your scenic comp and the overall blue/yellow color combination. The sprinkling of yellow flowers around the scene adds a lot of charm.

Don't think I've ever seen landscape shots from France...do they take landscape photos there?

Kidding, but seriously, great image. Very rugged. Nice to see a new place through some one else's eye.

Your image is a convincing presentation of this scene to me, Kah Kit. The delightful foreground elements draw my attention and the coastline leads me into the depth. I got acquainted with this location some ýears ago, and I do enjoy your point of view.
