For me this is very nice capture. However ducks are not so sharp, but there is no rule that every shot has to be crystal clear sharp.
Reflection, calm water, overall composition really very nice.

TFS.

The bottom two thirds of this photo is exceptional with the birds well placed and a nice low angle, despite a lack of sharpness in the ducks. The water and the color are very pleasing. My guess is you shot this hand held? The top third is some really ugly OOF stuff. Also the photo has a CCW tilt to it. I suggest a pano crop from the top, removing all but about a third of the gray brown stuff, after straightening the photo. I think it would really improve this photo.

I didn't notice the tilt - I would normally fix that in the raw processing. The ugly stuff at the top is reflections of grasses and if a car passed then there was a car reflection in it. Kinda hard to avoid. I like the pano crop idea and have had a go at it here. I am going to reprocess the image from scratch because I can now see where I went wrong with it. Thanks for the comments and suggestions :)

Toya, nice photo of these ducks. They are a bit soft. I have nearly the same equipment you have, and I received advice on the NPN to try and stay af F-8 for the best sharpness with the Sigma 150-500. I tried it and agree, but can't always use F-8. Thanks for sharing.
