This is a detail from the falls in Stillensteinklamm, one of the smaller gorges in Lower Austria. I liked the interplay of the cascades and rock textures.

Excellent choice of shutter speed and nicely balanced composition. Good work filling the frame.

I like all the little "sprays" where the water hits the rocks, kind of like upside down fireworks. The bit of bright green moss in the ulc adds a lot.

Peter,
I really like this intimate composition and I especially like the spray pattern and just the general setup of the falling water - and great shutter speed as well.
The only comment/suggestion I have would be to play around with the contrast and shadow values. It just appears to me that the shadow areas in the water spray have been pulled some. Perhaps it's just the mist/spray creating that effect, but for some reason to me the contrast in the lower half just seems a little off to me. Can't put my finger on it exactly at this moment.

Hi Peter, What a wonderful shot, and I love this composition. I agree that your choice of shutter speed worked great to show this falling water. I like the fine lines and the great looking splash. I can see what Lon was thinking here too. Maybe a little more shadow or contrast in the lower half... I'm not quite sure either. I like this very much. Nice work Peter.

I echo the two above comments. I think letting more shadows develop in both the top and bottom is a good idea. I too love the way the water is spraying!

I really like the water shapes and textures in the center. Could maybe see darkening the LRC a bit to frame this.

Very nice luminosity, and the comp is very well done as well.
