Chaos

Been a couple years since I posted but had to share this one of an intense storm over the rocky mountains near Jackson Hole, Wy. Just captured about 15 minutes ago and thought it provided a sense of the crazy weather we have been experiencing across the country. Not sure, but could swear that looks like a funnel cloud near the bottom right!

Thoughts?

Totally chaotic. Makes a fascinating abstract. I like the overall blue tones and the extreme textures in the clouds

I think it is fantastic! :toast: Great vision.

My only thought is I think it would still fly a little more subdued.

Looks like all "heck" is about to break loose, weather wise. There are a couple of bright spots that look blown out, but that's a very minor nit on an amazing cloud formation.

Awesome shot Drew. No doubt we had some wicked weather in Wyoming today...even though they were mostly just mild/medium thunderstorms. I'm really not so sure that's a funnel cloud, but I doubt it. I'm not a meteorologist though...

Very cool, nice processing as well. Might have to share the photo I got a couple hours ago of the tstorm that whipped over central WY.

Drew,

Fantastic-crazy cloudscape! I love the contrast here too emphasizing the drama in the sky. I agree about the couple of washed out spots. Not a huge deal, but I think some effective cloning could remove the burnt clouds. Awesome image!

very surreal. a very nice capture. As others have said, I think it would work just as well a little more subdued.

Wicked! Yeah its uber-processed, but i think that's acceptable here cause it's all about the contrasts and you need to bring those out somehow--works for me! :wavey:
