Mountain Bluebird
by Roger Kirchen
Mountain Bluebird (Sialia currucoides) photographed near Beaverhill Lake, Alberta. Most of the lake is dry since a few years. The BG consists of dry vegetation and soil.
This the first time I was close enough to a Bluebird that I did not need to apply a heavy crop. I like this particular capture because of the head tilt of the bird.
Canon 7D, Sigma 150-500 at 500 mm, ISO 400, f/11, 1/500 sec., HH. PP in LR4, removed BG slice on the right, added BG slice to the left, no net crop.
Thanks for looking. C & Cs are appreciated. Roger.

Nice!

If anything, I'd be tempted to crop a bit closer by bringing the top and left edges in just a bit, but that's minor.
Really nice!
