Snowy Egret

Taken at low tide on a sandbar one morning. I never tire of watching these birds as they hunt for food. This one was following an Ibis and fighting for anything that seemed tasty!

Minor crop, adjustments in Lightoom.

Nikon D7000
Sigma 50-500 VR
1/640 F6.3
100 ISO
500 mm

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Karon, I find this to be a very pleasant image of a feeding Snowy. I like the low POV and the OOF bg and fg which highlight the Egret. It is fun to watch the wading birds when they catch a pipefish. All the techs seem fine and your composition is very much to my liking.

Nice image, Karon. They are almost as fun to watch feeding as the Reddish Egret. If you were so inclined you might consider removing the dark spots on the RHS.

I like the pose and the prey in this one, Karon, as well as the still water.

Great exposure & color, nice view of the egret with prey Karon.
I agree with Bill, removing the dark areas directly in front of the birds beak at frame edge would improve your presentation. Well done :toast:
