What is not evident until one actually visits the place is how interesting and beautiful the landscape around crater lake is, that is the outside walls of the caldera. The light is pretty killer too, given the warm direct sunlight at sunset.

Very nice colors, textures, and light here. I agree, I noticed how interesting the landscape is around the crater when I was there recently - but I didn't have a long lens to isolate the interesting elements.

I liked the thumb and like this too. Nice abstract quality and the colors are great. Good eye for finding the unique comp in this location.

Kartik, I appreciate your straight composition. Especially the shadows make for some strong elements to me. The interplay of shapes and colors keeps my attention. An appealing and interesting image in my opinion.

Wonderful Kartik. Beautiful light and color, and the clarity is superb. We rarely see clear days like this in the south due to the humidity. The color variations are really nice.

Just lovely. The warm light really brings out those colors, and the blue shadows provide some beautiful contrasts. Nicely handled processing, too.
