Hiking down the Damnation Trail in the Redwood National Park. The fog rolling in. I like this image, I would like to see if anyone else likes it also. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

You bet. Very good image with dramatic mood to it. I think you composed this really well and exposed it just right. Only suggestion would be regarding the blue sky on the top. As the image comes across as B&W, the blue kind of surprised me. So might want to think about just converting the image to B&W. You've had a great trip judging by the photos. Hope to see more.

I like it indeed! I might prefer the image without the tree on the left as a boarder. Almost too straight compared to the branched boarder of the tree on the right. Nice job with the processing.

I like the way you've arranged the silhouetted trees in your comp Richard. Love the thick foggy atmosphere. I also think it would make a nice b&w.

Count me as one who likes it a lot. The blue coming through the fog and trees at the top is a strong plus.

Overflowing with moodiness, in a good way. I especially the hints of blue sky at the top - that adds a lot for me. very neat capture.

Beautiful sense of mystery here, almost ominous. The blues near the top are a little distracting - I would probably consider colorizing them to match the rest of the scene's color (effectively making it a tinted monochrome).

This must be viewed large to appreciate - really nice capture. I do find the trunk along the left side a bit distracting, giving a stark heaviness to that side of the image.

stunning shapes and mood, like straight out of a fairytale :toast:
I am with Floris on the blues, they do take away from the overall image imho

Excellent mood captured Richard! Crop it on the left, black and white it, and call it a winner!
