Sound of colors

I wasn't sure if I should've chosen the "Photo art" category for this one... I can say that this one has a creative processing on the tones. I adjusted the hues of the fog and the white balance to get the blue tones on the fog for a better background for the leaves. There wasn't so much blue tones in the fog at the moment I shot it. I am not sure if I would want to adjust further more those tones. I have tried other variants too.

I would like to know what impressions does on you, if any.

Thank you,
Serban

It`s not so easy to find a nice comp in the forest, with nice deep of view . Looks great!
Fog makes the forest shoots so mystical !

Thank you, Oleg. The fog was really nice, it had different volumes (created by passing clouds) and lightness coming through, so I was able to find many good compositions, more than expected.

Very nice. Your processing is great and I don't think that it pushes it into the photo art category.

I love the way you composed this scene. Also love the color contrast though the saturation feels a bit strong for me

I also like the color contrast and the mood. Fog in the woods can be so cool. I would like the tree and leaves in the foreground to be a bit sharper in contrast to those in the background/fog. Looks like maybe they were blowin in the wind.

This is spectacular! Serban - adjustments like that are not only ok in my book, but encouraged. I think you've done a fine job. My only nit is that overall the saturation appears a bit high for my taste. I think you could take the saturation down a few notches without any loss of impact (and it would make it a more believable, and thus evoke stronger emotions, at least for me).

Thanks, guys! I really appreciate your comments and observations. I had the same feelings about the saturation...
Next week I will have the time to work on it and I will re-upload. It's an image a like a lot.

This is fantastic! Your processing gives the image emotional impact and areal WOW for me. Have no problem with your adjustments, fog often has this effect. The yellow blue is a fine mix here. Love the large version as well. I would think would sell very well as a print - calming yet lots to keep your interest. :toast:

The colors are strong but they play off each other so well that the image is beautifully balanced. I love the composition and your processing brings out the best in it. Very nicely done

I don't mind the processing either. I just find that it is a bit to saturated. I would back that off some. Otherwise a nice composition and subject.

An excellent idea Serban. I love the color combination but agree about it being a little over saturated. Lovely shot.

This is wonderful Serban, the layers, colors, and fog look great! The comp is really eye catcing as well. I agree with previous comments about the saturation. I'd turn it down but not too much.

Love this shot Serban! The composition is great (not easy to do!), and I love the colour adjustments you have made. To me, it looks very "film like". Great work!

My first thought was " Wow" ....but after a white I think it's just a little to strong but an excellent photograph none the less.
