Chilled to the Bone

I made this image this morning and found it rather interesting. I felt that is did a good job of communicating the cold, wet conditions. I'm curious what others think of this one... is it too blue, and do you find it too contrasty? It actually looks quite close to what I saw, but I'm not sure if it's over the top or not. Thanks for any comments.

Wayne,

this absolutely communicates all that - cold and wet! I also don't think this is too blue, because the snow on the rocks is white enough (although there's blue in the snow, still, not too blue.)

You've done very well in capturing the falling snow and I particularly like the steep angle, like it's coming down straight over the top of you and the camera - which it is of course!

Not over the top at all. I think this is well done. Simple and very effective.

Surreal!! Looks like the bubbles in the ice people always shoot but it's actually falling snow. Great effect. And the blue works...but is always artistic liberty. Fun with wb :)

Cold it is. The falling snow is very dramatic and the wind driven ripples in the water adds to the chilly feel. Seems pretty realistic to me. Nice job

Definitely not over the top IMO. Initially thought the water was a rock face from the thumbnail. Love the streaks, unique perspective and compositional balance. Nice capture!

I think this is a very successful attemtp at some "creative" photography. It really conveys an impression. The composition is very strong. The snow covered pebbles, the falling snow and the ripples in the water all contribute to the final effect. Very good work!
