Some of the homliest creatures I've ever seen. Even more charming when they are ridding their bodies of excess salt by squirting it out of their nostrils.

Very impressive specimen! Very sharp where it matters, and a lot of deatil in the face area. My only nits: a little too tightly framed, and a bit of flash could have opened up some detail around the eye.

Thank you for the feedback, Ajit. I should maybe add canvas to the left and top? (No flash photography is allowed in the Galapagos Islands, though.)

Great detail with a super view of the horns and salt.
For me it's a little bit tight on the left side but nice as is.
Congrats on a fine capture

Beautiful colors and textural detail make this a real keeper, and the expression tempts one to assign anthropomorphic attitude, too! I agree with wishing for a touch more space on left. As is, I would consider a slight crop on the bottom to change balance slightly and to keep full attention on facial detail.

Quite a noble pose worthy of this impressive creature. Only detail missing would be a catchlight, but sometimes it isn't possible. Another super photo!

What a great close-up look at this handsome fellow  I really like all that varying texture and color. The large version is cool to explore. Personally, I like this composition.

Sweet One Rebecka!!!

Beautiful portrait Rebecka. Apart from the mentioned space on the left I would work on the eye a bit to recover some detail and turn this from a dark hole into a main focal point.

Well ... I have virtually no experience with wildlife photography. But I'd say that Charles Darwin would surely have wanted this portrait hanging in his cabin on the Beagle.

Congratulations on the Weekly Pick!
