Raied,

Pretty decent image of star trails, although they seem a little soft? Good job filling the frame with sky and the vertical format works very well here. I like the little bit of color gradient at the bottom. It looks though like probably city lights causing the light and color at the bottom?

I see this was edited by Marc, so I'm making the assumption that he moved this from Photo Art? Close inspection though and I think I see power lines at the bottom, which should actually make this a better fit in Man & Nature. But I won't move you again. You might want to review the Posting guidelines and check out the definitions of the various galleries. No biggie, you just joined and I'm sure still figuring your way around. Feel free to ask any questions if you're unsure where to post.

Thanks,
Lon

Hi Raied, Nice star trail image. I agree that they appear a little soft , remember that every lens has a slightly different infinity focus point and that would be best to test during the day and make a mark on your lens as to the exact point, so you are sure of your focus point when you are out there at night. I like the trails that you got here. I think I prefer a little more FG interest.TFS

The power lines ruin a otherwise good capture. This might need to be in Man and Nature. On my monitor it seems soft

Thanks for the comments. I spent 5 nights in Death Valley in Mid November trying to capture the star trails and the Milky Way. But Las Vegas lights were very difficult to avoid even from such a distance. The sharpness of this one considerably good on my monitor. But, I am posting an enlarged section for you guys to see if it is soft, and tell me. Your suggestions are appreciated as this will help me in my future night shootings. Thanks again.
