Great depth and a 3D feel. When you said, "cold, wet and green", it does really convey that feeling of a place like this with all the moss and lichens testifying to it. I like the diagonal the water makes and how you've captured its softness in motion that rounded the rocks over time. Initially I wasn't crazy about the saturation, the more I looked at it, especially in the larger version, the more I like it and now think it adds a lot. I don't usually think in termes of vertical panos; thanks for the idea.

The greens, the movement of the water and the overall in the river point of view all make this image for me. The bright sky is a bit distracting as is pulls my eye out of the frame, but It's not too bad.
Excellent details and colors.
I have wondered if making a multi-shot panorama with moving water could be done with out seeing the transition in the water, apparently it can. Well done!

A very moody stream image. I really like your processing here. The softer focus combined with the darker greenery and lighter water keep the eyes within the frame. The processing effect is like a magnet, and just pulls the eyes right to the heart of the stream.

I usually dont care for Orton, but i think it's subtle enough here that it doesnt hurt any
I love the comp, great diaganol!
As an aside, I'll note that in the last year or two, I've seen you make huge strides and your posts are much more consistent and well-presented lately (not that they were ever bad)--keep up the good work!

A very beautiful scene. love the lush greens and you did choose a perfect shutter speed for the water. The bright sky is a minor distractiong and I would crop it.

Daniel, I noticed the Orton effect the moment I opened it. Agree with Joel and Bill about the bright sky - would work much better cropping it out. Nice work.

Love it, love the greens. Haven't been in the gorge for a while, been busy trying to find a job.

Daniel,
Another gorgeous image from the Gorge. I love this one! Personally, I think you did a great and very effective job with the Orton technique; because you mention applying it to the background, which is the place where it appears to have been applied. And the great thing is in this case, is that this appears like it might without any "technique" applied; in other words, misty/rainy and dense air could have naturally created that effect too.
The only suggestion/thought I have with this one is being torn about the inclusion of the sky in the ULC. I does help line up the diagonal flow here and also acts or provides the viewer with the light source, but I first thought about how this might look with it cropped out. I think you still have that dreamy look in the UL cropped down from the top, but now no distractions of patchy sky. Just a thought, if anything just an alternate view. I do like the square presentation of this.

Another wonderful scene Daniel. I enjoying this very much! I like this comp a lot (except I would crop out the sky too) and your shutter speed for the water looks great. I love the greens and wondereful moss covered rocks. Very nice. The orton works very well here too!
