Some of you recoognize this forest from one of my erlier post posts. In december we had a lot of snow here with a period of cold temperatures so the snow rest on the trees and gave some real interesting photo opportunities here in the "Belchen" region in northwest switzerland.

What a great contrast of color. The bark stands out very nicely, and the details of the frosted branches don't look "muddy" and compressed.

In its simplest form, this is a two-tone image. Wonderfully presented.

Very nice composition with the two FG trees set to the left. The detail of the snow on the tres is wonderful. I imagine that this would make an excellent mural.

I like this a lot, Bill. The repeated lines provide a sense of rhythm to the composition. The contrast between the tree bark and the snow really adds a nice sense of depth as well and seems to add separation between the foreground and background trees.
