Triangle Dream

My first abstract ice post from Dream Lake was a bust...maybe just too weird for the crowd. Perhaps that is a good thing :) Ok, so here's another from the same lake on the same morning, but a little more conventional.

Canon 5D2, 90mm TS-E. 2-3 shot stitch.

I absolutely love how the finite bubble lines bend with the curves of the white cracks and lead the eye through some beautiful textures!

A fantastic array of lines and textures, Jimmy. I simply love the deep blue of the ice and the bubbles are the finishing touch on this beautiful abstract. :toast:

I love all the little bubbles & the triangular shape! Did you have any more room up top? I think I would have liked a tiny more room above the tip of the triangle. I don't think these have been weird at all...I like your last one the best still...

The rich blues, the lines, the textures. It's just all working in this image. Something that looks like it is from an alien planet! :toast:

There is actually a lot of room above. The original was almost a square. I am away from home now, or I would have uploaded another version.

I like the other one a lot, and don't think I'd consider it a bust. This one is a bit more conventional, but also more colorful and vibrant. The tiny bubbles and color are fantastic.

I like it Jimmy--yes, more conventional, but well organized with the nice triangle to give it some structure, and all the bubble trails make it work.

Wow, that is crazy how beautifully colored the ice is. Great series of ice images Jimmy as I always enjoy all of your work.
There is a pulsing 3-d effect that is really playing well with my eyes.
Great job

I like this every bit as much as your first one. Great color, light, and detail in the bubbles. And, the comp is excellent as well.
