This will be the last post from my ongoing series of wintry images in Lower Austria so far, as a thaw has set in now in our region. It was also the last capture from my recent trip to Danube Floodplains, taken already after sunset.

A great way to finish up your series, Peter! This is wonderful. I'm still enjoying the cold feel of these blue tones too. I really like the fine foreground branches with the snow cover on them. They make a wonderful sweeping line working so nice in your comp. I will be sad to see these end. Beautiful work Peter.

A beautiful parting image for your series, Peter. Love how the trees in the back appear to framed, creating the idea of looking through a window in the forest.

A beautiful winter woodland scene, Peter. I love the mood and the way you framed this to draw the viewer's attention to the two trees in the middle of the frame. Great work. :toast:

Love the cold, wintery feel to this Peter. Nice job of finding order in the chaos of the forest.

This is my favorite of these so far! It has a very mysterious feel to it! Also the comp works very well.

Nice comp to put the focus on those two center trees. I also like the subtle blue tones.

The overall tone in this one sells it. It sets the mood and feel. Well done.

As busy as this is.....it's not. If that makes sense. I like this quite well for its mood.

Sorry about the thaw. I'm really enjoying winter in Colorado. This is very interesting The intersecting of the branches make their own patterns.

Fascinating. Gives a true feel of the forest environment. The light and dark values are also playing off each other very well, which adds to the aesthetic beauty.
