Howdy folks!
This is my first post here on NPN, and I've been lurking for quite a long time to see the amazing work being posted by so many talented photographers. I'm a nature photographer based out of Bainbridge Island, WA.
This photo is one of my personal favorites due to its uniqueness. Living on an island most of my life has really made me appreciate being next to water and all the great things that can be found on a beach. Nobody else ever seems to photograph in this spot, which boggles my mind. It can produce some great reflections of the clouds and sunlight!
My goal in life is to one day own a sturdy sailboat and explore every waterway from Washington to Alaska. It's a great expanse of unexplored photographic opportunities. Good fishing too!
I strive to always improve, so any feedback is more than welcome.
Thanks for looking!
Johan

Your dream sounds wonderful and I hope that you can life it!!
A wonderful and colorful photograph. I really like the ripples creating a pattern wrap around the above elements.
Hey, whats your favorite fish to catch and eat out there? Ours is lake perch and walleye fried with shore lunch breading, washed down with a few "leinies" (leinenkugel's) lol. When I come visit I expect some good eats to go with the scenery ;)
I prefer to eat Sockeye salmon. It's the best of all the salmon when broiled with onions and honey on top (sailor's secret sauce).
Halibut comes in a close saltwater second with Kokanee as my favorite freshwater fish. Of course, Kokanee is a form of landlocked Sockeye salmon and tastes great out of glacier fed lakes.
Silver salmon are the most fun to catch, though. Especially in the Kenai river, Alaska.
Fishing is very much like landscape photography in the mentality of predicting and waiting for the perfect catch!
There is a 77inch wide print of this hanging in a doctor's office and even then everyone who visits thinks that the ripples are waves, not sand. Sand can be pretty darn reflective!
