Sun Dried

Taken at low tide in the Dee estuary, Wirral, UK.

The last of the sun just catching the mud made this shot stand out from the others taken that evening.

All feedback is welcome and thanks for looking.

Gary.

Nicely done Gary. I've seen a jillion of these, but never seem to tire of them. I love the pale blue/gray color and the small highlights add a nice touch.

I like it! Nice tones and patterns. Glad you didn't convert to b&w. I'm a bit on the fence about the light striking on the right.
I actually find it to be a bit distracting from the interesting patterns. Still, well seen and captured!

Very nice, Gary! The patterns look great but I think the light and color really make this one special. I really like the extra interest the highlights and glow add to this. They start on the right and fade off so nicely across the patterns.

Wonderful abstract, but with a graphic element well seen.

Yep, seen a ton of em too. But it's okay, I like em, and this is a good one. I like the thicker chunks of mud and the wider cracks. Nice tones too. Maybe wish there was more of the light for balance, but it's a nice color and light contrast.

Very nice patterns and pastel hues. The light, while of a nice quality hitting so close to the right seems distracting.

WOW, got me looking on this one, Gary. A very fine intimate closeup of this very static dried up mud flat. You're attention to capture with falling sunlight made this one work so well.

I sure do like all the shades of blue and the "intensity" of the cracks. The touch of sunlight adds a nice bit of surprise. This is really nice. It also gets me wondering if you tried other placements of the sunlit bits?

Thanks for the feedback everyone,

Mark, I do have a few others with differing proportions of sunlight, but not different enough from this one. Thanks.

Cheers, Gary.
