I have tried for many years to get an image of a Turaco, but not many of them live in southern Africa.
This one was spotted on the banks of the Victoria Nile.
We were on a boat making our way up river to visit Murchison Falls, Uganda

Excellent, sharp shot of this bird Ken. Good hand holding technique on the heavy 500mm. :toast:

Strange looking bird,...he looks very scared! Nice and sharp with nice colors. Good job with the hand hold and boat! Sharon

Gorgeous, Ken. Wonderful pose and I like the slanted composition. Excellent job bringing out all the colors.

Another unusual bird that I have never heard of. The larger image looks great, nice job of getting this image from a boat, way to go.
