I think I've posted this before on NPN. This is from way back in 2002 ... still in my pre-digital era. I was lucky to have been at the right place - the Temple of Sinawava, at the right time - just after some torrential rainstorms had passed through the area and during the peak of the autumn color in Zion Canyon. Many people have seen these temporary waterfalls flowing from the cliffs of Zion, which only occur for a short time following heavy downpours. But they occur less frequently in autumn. So I've always felt very fortunate to have captured this photograph, which has always been one of my favorites.

Spectacular, Jim! The colors are off the chart. Beautifully composed.

Exceptional image Jim! You've framed the falls beautifully and have got gorgeous color in the trees. My only suggestion might be with the main falls, they appear to be grey rather than white like the lower part of the fall, I don't know if you could some dodging to help brighten it. Regardless, really superb work.

I like this for several reasons, but I would like to comment on the way moisture can make colors pop. That shows up well in this image. Just beautiful.

The yellow leaves look great against the reddish walls. The waterfall nicely slowed down to a veil framed by the trees. The vertical frame suits the composition well. Beautiful photo!

Terrific scene. Love the framing with the glowing trees against the orange sandstone and the tall wispy waterfall.
