You captured a great mood on this one Jim, the poor bird looks miserable. Well taken, no nits for me. :toast:

Amazing shot; I love the lines and color contrasts (red-green and blue-yellow), the expression, and the water drop hanging from the wire barb on the extreme right, along with the outstanding sharpness and bokeh, of course.

If that hawk was dried and well-groomed, he would be one handsome fellow. What struck me first with this image is that the lichens look just like those found here in the Pacific Northwet (west). Shame on me. It's a nice and effective image.

Just a fine shot, Jim. . .and taken from a bus window! The hawk does really have a "pity me" look on his face as he is working to dry out his feathers. Excellent comp, good details, and great subject. His perch is interesting too. Great job!

The expression is priceless; would make a good greeting card with numerous captions. His eye is nice and sharp, so everything else is too. Beautiful detail in the feathers; the browns in the bird go well with the green lichen. Nice!

That looks to be one very uncomfortable hawk. What a great pose and the moss on the post is another nice addition.

Nicely captured! The hawk looks so annoyed and angry. But I guess they always look like this.

Jim I love to see birds in this sort of state wet and a bit ruffled you have captured it beautifully.

Jim,
We have all felt like this guy looks, the detail, colors and the BG are all first rate but the wet look and the rain drops on the barbed wire are perfect.
Great post for this WC . . . :toast:

A wonderful capture of this slightly annoyed looking hawk, Jim. A truly candid capture of this poor guy post showered and bearing it all.
Congratulations on the EP/WP for this week's WC gallery selection too. :toast:
