You were fortunate to find one in the open! Nice "light" framing of the bird. A good pose, although I could wish for a bit more head turn. The bright areas on the beak and right leg could stand a little burning. Good detail in this very solid effort! :toast:

I really like the pose and lighting in this image, Scott. The bg almost makes it look spotlighted. Very well done.

I like the lonely feeling of the whole scene, it makes the bird stands out. Well done Scott ! :wavey:

Definitely one of your better posts.

Pretty nice pose, Scott. You could pull those highlights on the perch and legs down a bit. :toast:

A simple and sweet portrait of this handsome heron Scott. That background is awesome too.

Very nice capture of this heron Scott. A good job in what seems to be harsh light. :toast:

I envy you at having this species so open as you had it ! Wow ! BG seems to need some (more) noise reduction in my humble opinion though, because especially in the larger version this is a little competing with the subject for my attention. The image definitely deserves it ! Well done :toast: , Hans
