Even Flow

Here is an abstract of Akaka Falls I was mentioning in my last post of this waterfall. Not much to explain really. Just looking for overall impressions!

Fun little fact. While I was here I learned about a species of fish and shrimp that actually crawl UP the waterfall to lay eggs up stream. Nature is just amazing!

Thanks!

Although this is much more original than the last take, I might prefer the other image a bit more. I just can't seem to move my eyes around here and enjoy every part, not to say that this is a bad image. I think I was just expecting something a bit different. Just can't put my finger on it. I'll have to look again later to see if I still feel the same. The fact about the shrimp is pretty nifty though!

A wonderful abstract for sure, Ted. The greens are fantastic and I like the way that they flank the falls on both sides making for some nice bands of color. Great choice on the SS also.

Thanks for your thought Peter. I did shoot others. Some further zoomed out, some of different parts of the falls. I might have to share several of them and see if any of them seem to entice more than others.

Ted, nice abstract. But like Peter said, I can't seem to be able to move around the composition. Also, the moss (especially on the left) seems to draw my eye more than the falls itself, so perhaps you could burn that a bit? Looking forward to seeing others you've got from this gorgeous place!

I like it a lot Ted, love the contrast and vibrancy of the greens against the flowing water.

I really like the simplicity and structure of the image Ted. The moss/waterfall/moss pattern is very effective to me. Well done.

Ted, I really like this. The textures are nice, and the symmetry created by the flanking green edges works well. The random mossy patterns add just enough variety to spice it up a bit.
