I've been fine tuning my setup and this is the result of many months of frustration and failures but very pleased with the results in the end.

Whatever your process this is quite out of the box and sweet,

Hey Edwin,
Good to see you posting again - and it looks like you had a fun (and frustrating) project on your hands. The end result is just great - wonderful colour palette, great "natural" frame (maybe?), super-positioning of the subject, excellent freezing of the action, plus a spot-onl DoF and selective focus! Oh, and the background isn't half-bad either . In my mind one of the best things about these projects (besides how fun they are), is how much one learns along the way (and that can be applied to future shoots).
Real cool...I think your efforts were well worth the trouble!
cheers...
Brad

Great work Edwin, I love the framing of the squirrel by the leaves. Very original, definitely worth the time and effort you put into it.

As always, the color palette in your images stands out to me, Edwin. I like the leafy border here (which I assume is part of the set-up?).

I can only imagine the difficulty you endured getting this shot, but the effort was well worth it. Not only is it a great capture but the comp and colors are spot on. Very impressed for sure.

Can only agree with others, nicely conceived and executed. Love nature photos with simple harmonious color schemes like this and a strong element of action! Always a pleasure to view your work.

Incredible! Great work Edwin.
I think increasing the saturation just a little will suit this image well.

Edwin, this is a superb shot! I'm just wondering how you captured this? Were you behind the camera or did you set up some sort of camera trap?

Thanks all, much appreciated. I did not use any type of camera trap. I was behind the camera and it was me who pressed the shutter.

This is a corker!!!
Sounds like you had fun. I'd be keen to hear (curious actually) what the setup is? Remote trigger?
