I just think these water lilies look pure. These were around the block from the black eye susans', which made for a pretty productive day.

Excellent rendering of the whites and yellow on this lovely flower, Bob and Charly. The reflection is a nice bonus - not sure whether the very dark leaf in the ULC might go a touch lighter ? Lovely image whatever.

Beautiful job with the whites Bob, definitely like the yellow glow. Beautifully seen and presented.

The lily is pretty, and the shot seems well-composed. It doesn't look like it's quite in focus to me. I don't see anything sharp in the image. perhaps soft focus was intentional?

This is a great look at a beautiful flower. I like your comp. with the leaf and some shadow. This seems a bit dark to me, might be worth a bump in exposure as long as you can keep the whites from blowing out.

The lily seems perfectly exposed to me; perhaps a little dark. For some reason the water and exposed pad look a little funky. I wonder if raising the brightness of the lily a little and the surrounds a whole bunch might help? In the large image, the focus is very soft. Is this the result of the 1.3 sec exposure and a little wind, perhaps?

Bob - May be a little soft but pretty beautiful frame. Great handling of the whites and the Lily sure stands out from that darkish surrounding !. The yellows at the center also add a nice touch.

Well taken, Bob and Charly. The flower is in great shape and you have captured it well. Good use of the polarizer to darken the water and make the flower pop but I guess that also caused the longer exposure time and the slight loss of sharpness.

Nicely composed, Bob, and a beautiful subject. I agree with prior comments regarding image softness, especially noticeable in the larger view. I don't think it is from wind since the ground is soft, and you shot this at f25, so it's not from shallow dof. You don't indicate what lens you used. If it was a longer lens, it may be due to lens/camera shake, or perhaps processing sharpening issues. The later is usually the source of my softness issues when posting.

OK I'm no flower expert but I'll chime in here and say that the flower is a lotus flower and not a lily. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. How much was this cropped? The 720px version looks mighty nice but the large version seems to have some noise. A beautiful flower to be sure.
