Repost - Lower Crabtree Falls

I took this Friday at Crabtree Falls in Virginia. This is Virginia's 2nd tallest fall at over 200 feet total. This is only the lower falls. Composition is very limited due to hand rails and such. This is the first shot I took of it. There was a lot of light play through the trees. I wondered if it would turn out ok, and I think it did. I did some selective burning and cropped a little off the edges.

0.4S, f22, ISO 100, CPL, tripod low on foreground rock.

The dappled light can be hard to work with but when you get it right - makes the image. Well done.

For being dappled so much in sunlight, it did turn out ok. Nice composition. Personally, I prefer such water fall shots taken on overcast days. If nothing else, it would open up the black shadow areas.

Thanks for the comments. I also shot it when the sun went under a cloud, but I wanted to post this one first. I think I burned down the highlights too much on my first edit. Here is a re-edit that I like better. I brought out a little more shadow detail in this one as well.

Comments on which one is better or any other comments are welcomed.

Good job with the dappled light. Nice texture in the water flow, too.
