View towards the BC coast from the island. Mountains are 40 kms. away. I'm always amazed at how calm the ocean can get sometimes especially at very low tides. Thanks for all the comments on the last photo. Greatly appreciated. Wondering if this is too dark.

Bill, I really like this image a lot. It draws the eye through front to back very nicely with lots to see and appreciate along the way. Love the color and the reflections. Looking at the large image it doesn"t look to dark to me. Well done :toast: Chet

Excellent sunburst on this one, Bill. A real testimony as you've mentioned about the calming sea here too. Very peaceful to have picked up the cloud reflections.Natural appearing color throughout also.
Not too sure about any exposure adjustments. Easy to do, but not always easy to determine best look. Maybe a slight lift of the offset. Otherwise good to go.

Bill, I really like this! I think your comp works great and the light looks very real to me. The colors are wonderful and I think the sunstar looks perfect to my eye! The water with reflections looks fantastic. The large version is a treat to look at! :toast:

Nice sun star and beautiful scene. I see you trying to bring some detail by brightening the row of rocks in the middle and it may loss some contrast in the process. You may want to add some contrast back in or darken that area a little. The image is not too dark for me. :toast:

It's definitely not too dark for me, works very well! I was looking at your sun star which looked a bit odd to me, until I realized you captured two sun stars! One large one from the sun, and one smaller just above that from the cloud. Really cool!

Not too dark at all for me, Bill. Brightness is in keeping with the time of day and creates that sleepy feel with this light. I can just imagine paddling around the exposed rock under calm conditions. Those mountains look so close.

The large version looks good to me. Maybe a little burning of the mid-ground rocks as they seem just a little bright for the light coming from behind. I like the comp and the mood, too. Nicely done.

I sure like the colors and depth that you've got here. The rocks are interesting and work well to pull my eyes through the scene. This seem a bit dark to me, but that does help to hold the colors in the clouds and the reflections.

Beautiful image, Bill. Great sunstar, great reflected light on the calm water, great composition, and just a great feel all around. Not too dark IMO; good detail in the rocks and if it was much brighter it would feel discordant with expectations for time of day. Super image! :toast:
