Pink Cosmos and bud

A cosmos in a garden bed among some purple flowers ( not sure what they are ). This was shot a week or two back, with an early evening sun.

Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 70mm, 1/1000 sec @ f 7.1, -1ev, ISO 400, hh, some selective blur in Color Efex.

Beautiful color on the cosmos (slightly purple on my monitor). I like the balance you have achieved here, with the partial framing of the OOF flowers.

Ian - I like how the background foliage frames the Cosmos along a semi-circle. Your post processing treatment adds to the frame a lot for me.

This is gorgeous, Ian! The little pink in the flowers surrounding the cosmos adds a lot. Beautifully taken and processed. Excellent work!

Beautiful comp and colors, Ian! I like seeing the cosmos with the others flowers partially framing it. The bud also adds interest to the image. Very nice!

The only thing I don't like about this image is the heavy black framing. Otherwise the cosmos is balanced well with the grouping of flowers on the left. Nice find!

Ian, the larger view is splendid. The color is delicate, elegant, soft, not too saturated. I love this very natural photo.
In my previous post the 'daisies' are asters in fact. Thanks for your advice, Ian: I changed the image liking better a more luminous and soft backgrounde.
