I recently photographed this in the Merced River Canyon. The river is very low and the growth of algae renders the river very green almost black.

I think this is a worthy subject and in general i like the comp a lot. 2 thoughts: You mention the cool river, but unfortunately there isnt much of it to see here--perhaps a bit more would have been nice. 2) this web post needs to be sharper (assuming its all IF)
