Ambassaddor Archimedes
by Peter Cross
We had a nature "fest" at the local nature area today. One exhibitor brought a variety of wildlife that had been injured or somehow made unable to be released back into the wild. Archimedes, the great horned owl, was an ambassador for his species and wowed the kids. The presenter told about how the bird was injured but also a lot about it's life history and conservation of all wildlife. I'm sure this young Girl Scout by the name of Jillian will remember this day for some time.

4 commentsWell captured moment and Jillian appears a bit unsure if this is a good idea at this point. Having kids better understand and respect nature in this way can only result in good memories and better conservation for the future.
Now that Alligator Tail coming out from behind the tree is very interesting indeed . . .
