Hwange has had plenty of rain so far this wet season and there are plenty of small pans available for the water birds.

A captivating shot of this unusual bird. Good timing, initial water contact with the right foot and suspended water droplets all contribute to making this an excellent in flight take.

A neat pose with strong lines, Ken. Beautiful light and a great job on the exposure.

Good action shot! There appears to be a slight CCW tilt. Was this a takeoff shot?

This looks like a feeding pose / action to me. Pretty light and I also like the water drops. Sharon

Thanks everybody for your comments, I really have no idea as to why the bird suddenly jumped into the air
