Cathedral Dusk

It's hard to visit Sedona without stopping for the iconic view of the Cathedral Rocks from the Red Rock Crossing/Crescent Moon Picnic Area. I was lucky enough to get clearing skies in late afternoon during our visit and in this post sunset view, just a touch of color in the clouds. Sweet light and comp, Mark. I really like your POV and the warmth you captured in this scene. I could also see this working as a vertical.

Wonderful comp, Mark. I like the framing of Cathedral with the stream side vegetation and the glow in the water and sky are very nice.

Beautiful Mark. I love the bare branches of winter, and the overall balance of the composition. Also, the pastel sky is so pretty.

Nicely framed with the trees, and nice water flow at the bottom.
A very nice time of day.

Wonderful comp and exposure, Mark. I think you've done this "icon" justice! Given your setup, I'm wondering if you might be able to pull a little more sharpness out of the RAW file, as it looks a bit soft on my monitor. Check out multi-pass sharpening for the web, if you haven't already.

Great image! :toast:

An icon for a reason. Very nice light on this beautiful spot Mark. It looks a little soft on mine too.

Nicely done! You captured great light and very peaceful comp. I agree with others on the sharpening, especially on the surfaces of all the rocks.

I like your comp, the color, and the light. I could see a touch more density in the sky to bring just a little more balance in tones. A feeling of peace and contentment.
